The Museum of Rural Technology tracks the development of machinery and its local use for pea picking, potato cropping and farming in the district. Many of the machines are operation so visitors can understand how they worked.

The history of gold mining and prospecting in the district is explored right up to the current 24/7 mine at Cadia to the West. The Cadia Theatrette shows the Cadia mines operation and history of this huge mine and its importance to the prosperity of the district.
